Introduction The first picture I took at UJ.   Twenty years ago, the University of Johannesburg (UJ) was born a vision of transformation, a merging institution to create something truly groundbreaking. Today, as I walk its halls, sit in its lecture rooms, and engulf myself in its culture, I realise that UJ is not just a place of education. It is a force of change, a community, and a home. How did UJ shape me? My journey at UJ as a third-year Public Relations and Communications student has been one of discovery. From the day I stepped onto campus, confused but full of ecstasy, to the moments spent PR class of 2023  debating ideas with my classmates, struggling over assignments, and celebrating small victories like cancelled lectures, waking up early, and being on time for class, I have grown in many ways I never imagined.
